Yoga Is My Reset Button

I turned to yoga nearly few years ago—initially out of curiosity, just wanting to finally give it a try. What I didn’t expect was how deeply it would support me. It became my anchor for grounding, flexibility, mindful movement, and moments of much-needed stillness in a busy world.

I Used To Play Basketball

Discipline and teamwork are in my DNA. I played basketball for 10 years and was on the path to a professional career. But at just 21, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s — and had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life: choosing my health over the game.

Whether it’s the beach, mountains, forests, or just quiet greenery, nature is where I feel most connected—to myself, to the world, and to calm. My love for aromatherapy started in my early 20s when I used to attend workshops and make natural cosmetics and handmade soaps with a few close friends. It’s a sensory ritual that still brings me joy, focus, and peace.

What is Functional Nutrition?

Functional Nutrition is a personalized, science-based approach to health that looks at the whole person, not just isolated symptoms.

It’s about finding and addressing root causes like nutrient deficiencies, gut imbalances, chronic stress, or toxin overload.

Root cause resolution means to ask WHY!

WHY are those symptoms showing up?” “WHY is this happening in the first place?”

This brings us to the concept of terrain.

The roots that we look for in root-cause resolution exist in an environmental or biological terrain.

Just as the roots of a plant grow in a soil, the roots of a health issue grow in certain “soil”. A soil that is maybe overloaded with toxins and depleted of essential nutrients. A soil that is under constant stress and lack of movement. The symptoms and diagnosis came into being because of several things that previously happened—things that created the perfect terrain for the manifestation to occur.

Food is not just calories (fuel for our body) — it’s information for your body, influencing your hormones, immune system, digestion, and energy. Influencing that soil.
